Hello everyone!

Well, what can I say? the website has really taken of, with 150 genuine site members in such a short space of time, I cannot be prouder. The website currently has over 550 unique slang terms which have been submitted by our members. Lets keep this going, lets try and create the most comprehensive dictionary of Irish terms. Not all terms have to be funny! even household terms are welcome on the site! If you have any difficulty in using the website, or don't quite fully understand the process for submitted new slang terms, do not fret! very shortly a help guide will be developed and put online for all to see. Well, thats it for now.

Hello everyone,

Thank you to everyone who has helped submit content to IrishSlang.info,  we soon hope to be the most comprehensive online dictionary of Irish Colloquialism. At present we have just reached 100 members on the website, and I think it is time for a competition. So here are the rules and prize information;

The winner of the competition will be the person who submits the funniest slang term or phrase to the website within the next 7 days, the competition will begin at midnight, May 5th and will end at 11:59 May 12th. The person to have submitted the funniest term or phrase will be the lucky winner of a free Irish Slang t-shirt of their choice. At present our shop is under development, but the available t-shirts can be viewed at the following address;

Hello All!

I intend to keep this update short and sweet. We have been asked to do an interview for the Sun Newspaper, tomorrow morning a photographer will be coming to photograph myself and Ned, yes, Ned is actually a real horse believe it or not! You can see him being interviewed by myself on the new "Guide" web page located here;

When you read it, be sure to send feedback on the forum!

Well, in a good way. This morning GMTV News NI aired an interview with myself, in which I briefly discussed the development of IrishSlang.info, as a result, the website has gone insane with the number of new submissions and visitors.

I would like to thank Sonia Butterworth and the GMTV NI team for taking the time and effort to do this for me.

All The Best!

Hello there again,

Its Ned here, once again the website seems to have been developed quite a long way since my last post in the Horsebox! We now have quite a large directory of slang terms submitted by all of you, and I would like to thank everyone who has taken part.

I would also like to thank Keith Law, who has kindly developed a list of Audio Samples of exactly how we speak, you can get to this by going to the "Audio" section of the website. As promised before, the new age restriction has been placed onto certain categories to protect those innocent young minds.

So, that’s about it, until next time.

Kind Regards
